>>D'you know, I'm sure I've asked this before, but I can't find any trace of the message. Also I'm sure this has been asked before, so sorry for the repeat.

>>Every so often, when editing a form, and closing it (either by ! - save changes?, or just by close - save changes?) the damned error message comes up "File is not open". Whether I try to save or cancel, makes no difference, the changes aren't saved, and quite often many of the form's methods are walked all over by gobbledygook (even worse than my code :-), rendering the form useless.

Hi Jamie

Yes they are at the moment, but that's only just happend in the last few months. I've had this problem before, even when I was working at home, unconnected, and when my system was all on C.

However, we seem to be having some problems with the n/w today and a dud NIC may be suspected.

Cheers

Terry
