i had already checked firewall,nat,virtual server,network utility,... nothing seems wrong. Strange thing is that even on the server i have the problem. When i start enterprise manager and i make the connection with the server name it works but when i make the connection with the server ip that doesnt work.

When i look with the profiler i have the same thing, use servername this gives a response using ip i get no response.

Could it be due to the fact that when i was ready to install the server i changed the server name ?

snif i think computers and women are the same.... sometimes you simply can't understand them
