If you give NTFS permissions for the DBF/CDX/FPT files to "everybody" for R or R/W access (depending on what the MTDLL needs to do), it should work. Ususally you only have to do this for the containing folder because the perms are propagated unless you have already explicitly overriden with individual file permissions.

Rick Strahl has some good white papers on his West Wind web site about using COM servers from within ASP. I don't have the code snippet handy, but he shows a simple trick where the MTDLL can determine the indentity under which it is running and let you know.

>windows xp sp2 is not allowing a mtdll, which I instantiate from an active server page, access to my vfp tables. It runs fine on windows xp without sp2. Can someone tell me how to set up the rights so that a vfp mtdll, that reads and writes data to vfp tables, so that it can be instantiated on an active server page. BTW.... I am running this on my development computer. The web page is being served up on the same computer that I am viewing the web page from. And.... what user is accessing the vfp mtdll when it is instatiated from an asp.
