Great points. It seems that the most compelling reason given to switch is that we should all be scared. I'm willing to give an edge in performance to .NET in certain areas, but, not a compelling edge. The ease of use of VFP more than makes up for that in my opinion. If pure performance was the main goal, then everyone would be developing in C because it still blows away anything in C# or VB.NET. A while back some of the reasons given were: you can't develop web apps in vfp without a 3rd party product or vfp cannot multi-thread. Well, I tried (I think succesfully)to disprove these notions. Now the argument moves on to even more fluff. Heck, I'm having a problem getting any pro .NET developers here to even list any complete conversions from VFP to .NET. Talk about an unproven concept!
