This seems like one of the most common sense and simplest "license" control schemes I've ever seen! It's beautiful - thanks Tracey!

>We set everything in the app to readonly when this happens. That way, the user can see their data that has already been keyed, but they can only view it. They cannot update it or add any new data until they purchase the product or pay a subscription. Most of our apps are subscription based now. The users pay a monthly fee to use our apps. They do required uploads and downloads so it is easy for us to download the license file everyday and verify their subscription status. Since we work with financing, if they do not connect and update the financing rates then our app is not usable anyway for its primary purpose. We have a lot of additional features in our apps but financing/generating contracts is the primary purpose. If the user tries to submit contracts using the wrong financing guidelines they will be rejected anyway.
