Quick question about key generation.

I have a table that is going to be modified using an ASP.NET MM.NET application as well as through a client/server app written in Mere Mortals for VFP ... Version 7 I think.

In this situation is it better to set that table up with the iID column as an Identity column and modify that business object in the C/S app to use autogenerated primary keys -OR- vice versa?

Since I'm much more fluent in MM VFP I'm leaning towards leaving MM.NET as it natively behaves and playing around with MM VFP to make it behave as required.
