Regression (or Linear Regression) is use in Statistics to correlate data to other data. For example, the amount of heat oil used at a home is related to the weather. You would expect that the colder it is outside the more heating oil would be used to heat at home. So if you plot average outside air temperature vs gallons of heating oil used you would find a "best fit" line that would predict one of the variables to the other. This equation would be in the form y = mx + b (where Y = Heating Oil usage and X = Average temp). The Linear Regressiion anaylsis would come up with the m and the b constants...

Is that clear a mud?

I'm looking to see if someone has come up with some Foxpro code that does the Linear Regression analysis. Or if might suggest a reasonably priced statistical package that can do a Linear Regression...

Thanks... Paul
