I realized that I am woefully deficient in Visual FoxPro, so I laid out everything I did in my second post. Anyway, the on form fields of txtMyValue1 and txtMyValue2 are bound to the table Junk; fields of MyValue1 and MyValue2. The calculated field of txtnTotal is not bound to a control source (in the example presented). The variables were the way I use to do this back in FP 2.6 DOS.
