I am using an application which uses a lot of remote views. These remote views all use a shared connection, where after creation of the connection a SQL-Server application role is set (sp_setapprole).

During the day, sometimes network errors occur. The network error causes a SQL-server disconnection. Because the invalid handle after the disconnection, it is (as far as I know) not possible to reconnect the remote view. I do know how to make the new connection, but does anyone know how to assign the new connection to the used remote views?

The ODBC error that occurs after the network error is: [DBNETLIB] ConnectionWrite(send())

Thanks for any help!
