How in the world do you know all of this stuff? Ok... how do I give vfpoledb access to the UDF()? A little code would be halpful. I am using vfpoledb in an asp.net application. And... may I have a reference to the changes that came with the upgraded vfpoledb provider?

Regards and many thanx,
Neil

>It's a change in behavior between VFP8 and VFP9. In in both you get an error if UDF referenced in index key not found. IN VFP8 the table is open after messagebox is dismissed. In VFP9 the table is not open. In addition, the error is trapable in VFP9 now.
>If you want to be able to open the Fox2x table you've to provide VFP OLE DB access to that UDF().

>>I recently upgraded to vfp9 and vfpoledb for vfp9 came along with the upgrade (I think). The reason why I think something has changed in vfpoledb is the following: Before the update it appears as if vfpoledb did not recognize an index (via a cdx file) that was actually a procedure contained within a prg for a *free* fpw2.6 table. Now that I have installed vfp 9, along with the vfpoledb upgrade (that is ... I think vfpoledb was upgraded), my web form is throwing an error that specifically indicates that it cannot find the function that the index is built upon. Funny, prior to the update I just thought that vfpoledb did not process the index tag because it could not find it or just did not use them. I always knew that the index was present (and I thought not accessable to vfpoledb) but it never caused an error prior to the upgrade. Someone please set me straight on this topic.
