it's unlikely that this error has anything todo with the date value
do a quick search for "mssql right truncation" on www.groups.google.com
it must be either a string or memo field that is causing the trouble

are you trying to store a memo to SQL-Server VARCHAR field .. an editbox for example can contain more data than fits into a VARCHAR field in SQL-Server
