I finally have time to take another look at this. I have a large log file (over 12 Gig). I have done transaction backups, but the log is still large. I have gone into 'shrink database', and chosen to shrink the log file, but it does not make much, if any difference.

How do I get the transaction log to empty itself and get down to a manageable size (and keep it there)?
