>I guess Vicky Day really irks the Quebecois
Well, she wasn't their Queen. Then again my grand father came from somewhere in the south of Ireland. So she's not quite my queen either. But that's an other debate :0 Here they should have at least called the holiday King Louis day. Would allow both groups a chance to honor their ancestry.
>Incidentally, UK gets 8 in all, I think one of the lowest in Europe (if not THE), and lower than over there I think. BUT we DO get them when we need them, like New Years Day and Boxing Day. We have 2 in May, then a long drag until end of August.
I work for a company who's head office is in France. They seem to have too many. Including vacation days. Min 4 weeks for anyone who came to work here from there.
We have 9 days listed in our database. So we get only 1 more than you. I assume that would be June 24 for John the Baptist. Which I don't mind taking off.
