I know this may not be a great help, but I remember Drew Speedie had wrote an article for FoxTalk that led me to implement just that (navigate records while holding down the mouse button over the "vcr" like buttons). It had something to do with BINDEVENTS(). I can't find the code :( but perhaps you can investigate that feature.
