Add to the list the paid holidays that our Banks celebrate. I think I am in the wrong business! :)
>The days still vary, depending on state. Most states now recognize Martin Luther King's birthday, but a few still don't. If you want holidays that the US government recogize for employees, the list gets longer. Here's a list of the "standard" days:
>
>New Year's day, January 1
>Martin Luther Kin's Birthday, 4th Monday of January
>President's day, 3rd Monday of February
>Memorial day, Last Monday of May
>Independence Day, July 4
>Labor Day, First Monday of September
>Thanksgiving, Fourth Thursday of November
>Christmas Day, December 25

>>Hi All,
>>
>>I need a listing of the US Legal paid Holidays. Just the Country wide ones. Not the state by state listing. I need to know the dates as well as what the rules are for moving the day should it fall on a weekend.
>>
>>We have a program that automatically fills the Legal paid Holiday hours in the time sheets for our employees. It places 8 hours in a certain charge for all the observed Canadian days. But we just added 5 employees that will work out of a remote US office. And I've no idea what holidays are observed there. So If I could get a link to 1 page that would have this info, I'd apreciate the help. I need to write a procedure that will set these days yearly in the database.
