In this case, a code snippet in VS 2005 is a bit different than what it is in FoxPro. In FoxPro, we called blocks of code that we insert and code by hand a code snippet, like in the When or Valid of the FoxPro 2.x screen designer. In VS 2005, a code snippet more like VFP 7/8/9 IntelliSense with FoxCode.dbf, where you enter a command like
foreach
and after you hit {TAB}, it auto expands out the block of code you need and highlights where you need to insert values and such. More like how in VFP you can enter DC then {SPACE} or TRYEND and then {SPACE} to have a block of template code generated for you for productivity.
