Dmitry,

If you haven't been playing around with .NET at all yet, I doubt that you could write an app, even a small one, in a week. Better stick to doing it in VFP for now (maybe try converting it to .NET later, as you learn it).

The customer expects me to write it in VFP, although they don't care, as long as it is windows app and does not involve IS department know about it. Yes, you heard me right, the IS hates VFP and the customer (department in a hospital) does not care what is the backend.

I am concerned that Web Services (I think popular with some folks) is a good approach but I have never used it and probably not enough time to learn. What other methods would you recommend?
