Are these cursors from local views? What does the SQL code look like that is used to create these views. From the command window, what is returned when you issue:

? SET('ENGINEBEHAVIOR')

Is your EXE actually using the same DBC as what you are using from the Command window? Of hand, I can not think of anything else that would be causing this without more information from you.
