To celebrate I went to our local El Fenix in down town Dallas for lunch.

>As you can imagine, this is a big event here in Texas as well.

>>In California we have rich traditions given to us from Spain and Mexico. Today is a day celebrated in the United States more so than in Mexico. It is a bit like the Irish in the United States celebrating Saint Patrick’s Day, which has been going on since 1737 in the United States, and first celebrated in Ireland in the early 1980’s.

>>A few years ago my wife and I were walking into our favorite coffee shop on May 5th, when I looked over at the “coffee of the day” area. The sign stated, “Today’s special: Viennese, French Roast”. I cracked up and laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes. The manager said, “You are the only person who got the joke”!
Work as if you don't need money
Love as if you've never been hurt before
Live as if this is your last day to live
Dance as if no one's watching
