On a form with a DE that contains a simple native cursoradapter built with the CA builder that has a parametized where clause such as "where xfield = ?xValue".

How can I get the CA to recognize the ?xValue in the form? I tried a variable, thisform.xvalue, and made the xvalue a property of the form. The CA doen't recognize any of them.

Is there any way to get an object reference to a CA in the DE of the form so I can create a ca property and set the xValue to the new CA property?

Any suggestions on how to use parametized view on a CA in a DE of a form are welcome.

I know I can do it in code, but was wondering about it in the DE of the form.
