9991, which is essentially a "text-report class", has some limited Excel capabilities, and by accessing the .Cells() collection etc., you can control other aspects of Excel. Freeware, but you have to create your reports from scratch (you can't use your FRX reports).
Similarly, CodeRep has several output options, including Excel - but I think you have to code the output.
