The most important part is your mail. To see where this is stored:

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Folder (?)

(I have it in Spanish: Herramientas | Opciones | Mantenimiento | Carpeta de almacén.)

There, you can also change the place where it is stored, for example, to have your mail in "My Documents" or wherever you store your documents. Keep this in mind for the future, as it may simplify backups.

The other thing you would prefer not to lose is your address list.

File | Export | Address list

IIRC, this will create a comma-delimited file, which you can later import. If the target Outlook Express has another language, you will need to edit the headers of the text-file thus created.
