Yes it sure seems something is different with that particular machine. I don't think it is either Norton or M$ firewall, because I have succesfully installed the web app on computers with both Norton and M$ firewall.

What I thought was very odd was that is said:
The specified path 'http://machinename/http://machinename/virtdir' is unavailable. ...

It would have atlease made a little more sense if the error message said:
The specified path 'http://machinename/virtdir' is unavailable. ...

My guess is that I will install it on 100 other different machines without seeing a similar error, but I like to figure out what went wrong.
