Do you have VFP8 installed on the machine, or just an application? Are you double-clicking on the DBFs to get this message? If you have VFP8 installed, try going to Start: Run, type cmd, and when you have the command window up, type

"c:\program files\microsoft visual foxpro 8\vfp8.exe" /regserver

and see if that clears things up.
