To expand on Nancy's ideas,
Don't forget that you also have a Report INIT() method (right-click on the Report DE and pick 'Properties'), and can add SQL or other code there. Also, you can put your tables into the DE, use them for dragging fields to the report while designing, then delete them from the DE. MUCH simpler than typing field information in.

>My reading of your last comment is a little bit different...If you want to select the cursor fields when you're designing the report, first open and setup the environment the way you want it, then open your report for design. Also, if you're not using the report uses the default dataSession. You should see the fields in your expression picker.

>>My problem is that even if I leave the DE empty I don´t find the fields of the files I open with my program. When I tried to put any Field Control on the report I have to type the field expression. I give the users of my programs the possibilty of changing the reports, with this problem I have to tell them what fields are available to add to the reports!
