I used DBCC OPENTRAN('TEMP') to check active transaction in tempdb.
I got following.

Transaction information for database 'tempdb'.

Oldest active transaction:
SPID (server process ID) : 63
UID (user ID) : -1
Name : sort_init
LSN : (78:432669:226)
Start time : May 10 2005 11:39:05:850AM
DBCC execution completed. If DBCC printed error messages, contact your system administrator.

I remember uid is -2 means deadlock (I amd not sure). I really want find to doc to describe this.

Thanks

Jim
