>If I was in charge I would have been extremely pi**ed off at Claude for continuing to jab at anyone after I explicitly told him to knock it off. I notice that JB has not responded in kind. I'm not defending JB ... I don't really even know him. I'm just saying that Claude was definitely out of line for continuing on in this manner after he was publicly asked not to (and probably privately asked not to also, although that's just speculation on my part).

Firstly, when Claude was "admonished" it was from a person who did NOT have "Universal Thread" as his "employer' in the header. I know this because I looked at it specifically ON THAT MESSAGE to see what kind of weight might be behind the request. MartinS' 'employer' does now say "Universal Thread".

Secondly, it USED TO BE that someone had to file a formal complaint with UT Management. The problem would be reviewed and action taken as warranted. The time between admonishment and banning - if indeed Claude has been banned - is way too short for this to have happened.

Finally, Claude did a simple thing... asked for support in the form of assistance with code addons or $$$ to keep development of his free product going. The PA Crew, in particular, RIDICULED him as soon as he solicited and it has kept on unabated ever since. Sure, Claude spoke his mind, but said nothing that I wouldn't have said given the crap that was hurled his way. Maybe Claude's big mistake was to not lodge a formal complaint himself. Possibly it was one of the hurlers who did lodge a complaint.

One thing is clear in my mind, and that is that MartinS - nor any other member of UT Management - should never publically admonish anyone, at any time. Period!

I hope Claude ain't gone, because all it will serve is to further mute those who have a gripe and like to keep the problem alive.
It is certain that banning Claude will make life easier for MS (KenL, the VFP Team itself) and the .NET pushers, but is that the way we want things around here?????

I have to ask... WHY ARE .NET PUSHERS (who to a person are VFP user insulters) TOLERATED AT ALL IN THE VFP FORUM?????

>>>Claude, that's not it and you know it. You replied to an older post by JB and called him a "pathetic little weasel" and this was not long after Martin specifically told you to knock it off. I'm guessing that Martin did not like you purposely and blatantly ignoring him.

>>Martin works for EPS - EPS sells against VFP. JB said some things too - but JB's boss is buying EPS services - so JB gets a free pass?
>>
>>Have you noticed they moved the thread off board - that should tell you alot!
