Check out the free Blat.Dll. This is an open source and actively maintained 120K, standalone DLL that does not need to be registered in order to be used. The blat website is http://blat.net. There's also a free (and active) Yahoo Blat user group you can join as well.

There's a bunch of sample VFP code for using Blat floating around on the Fox.Wikis and in Ed Leafe's Profox archives (http://leafe.com).

Bob Lee (http://1amsoftware.com) has also posted some VFP code for using Blat.

Blat uses the industry standard SMTP email protocol so your users will need an SMTP account in order to send mail. Blat supports text, html and text/html message bodies, unlimited numbers of attachments, custom email headers, etc. If you can do it with Outlook, you can do it with Blat as well.
