That is weird, we might have a different menu structure, i'm not familiar with a Model Properties item. I'm using Rose 4.x, I didn't think the demo was that cripped.
I think I also goofed about setting it up, when I don't have any documents open there is no Tools menu. So open any model, set the Default PTY file, close Rose down, the next time you start up it should be set. Then every new model you create from then on will use the VFP.PTY. Unfortunately you can't switch PTY's on a model that is already created (at least in Rose 4.x).
Since our menus seem to be like apples and organges I believe you can also set the PTY file through the ROSE.INI, maybe setting the ROSE_PTY variable in the .INI file to the correct variable would work?
