IMHO the administrator of this board let the thread get out of hand a long time ago. I make my living doing VFP work not .net. To be referred to in condensending way by a few people who are merely JVP lites made me respond on several occasion. I said my piece and then shut up. However the .net cheerleaders just keep banging away incessantly about the many advantages of .net and throwing out all kinds of barbs about those of us who chose to use VFP.

Why not have an OTHER TOPICS (OT) board where the .netters and the VFPers can hurl insults at each and let this board be for those of us developing systems in VFP to ask questions and help others.

If it is true Claude has been banned I find that very disturbing as Claude has helped me on a number of occassions and I am actively developing a ActiveVFP application and rely on his help when I need help. From my reading of the posts over the last several months, Claude was in more of a reactive mode and not the one throwing out the first insult. Claude was ridiculed for having made reference to either cash or in kind donations to keep the activeVFP open source project afloat. I see no problem with that. Tell me what open source project doesn't take in-kind or money contributions from a variety of sources.

Whoever made the banning decision had better revisit it, reinstate Claude and issue a clear policy on what is or is not acceptable on this board.

If not I will have to decide if the value I get from the board exceeds my distaste for the continual insults that are hurled by just a few of the posters on the board. I know I don't have to read the provative posts but I read most all of the posts on this board as I am self taught in VFP and I never know when I will find something that I can currently use or print the posts for use later.

If he was banned for threating to kick someone's A__. I would pay good money to see that -:)
