I think, with hardened doors to the cabin area, that the only necessary searching is for explosives. And this can be done with only very minor inconvenience.

I'm confident that the passengers would take care of anything else.

>Not at all. Just a nuisance. I'm perfectly willing to succumb to it if it means better security. Realistically though, I think it is pretty much a waste of time when it is not applied to all passengers. I think the time delay is minute compared to the additional security that would be enjoyed if all passengers had to be searched as such.

All you have to do is get hold of a similar badge and walk right on through...even worse, you could get out just by walking out some of the doors and enter the grounds and wreck havoc before ever being stopped.

>>>Welcome to the club. Since 9/11 every time I flew I have had to enjoy the special search. The last time my 13 year old daughter flew with me so they had her do it too. I'm pretty sure my last name is not that difficult to read or pronounce (its even simpler than my maiden name of Skogen which is not difficult either). It suggests a European ancestry, not anything more sinister. I don't look like a foreigner and I speak English well with no discernible accent. I guess I was just wearing the wrong color each time...
