How about when these sort of shows finally use a good acronym, but then waste time -- every time -- telling you what the acronym stands for. Cooking shows are notorious for this, "Now pour on some EVOO, that's extra virgin olive oil." or "Leave it in the fryer until it's GB&D... golden brown and delicious." And it would be one thing if they did this once every few shows so new viewers could learn the meaning, or maybe pop up a little translation crawler... but every frickin' time??!!
