The MS OCS 5 or 6 are great. I prever 5 because it is themed. Download #16575 has is a little program with a modifiable framework (procedures) for adding/changing and deleting nodes and data. It associates node specific images with the tree also, but you can delete the "picture argumet. It uses SP 6 OCX. The demo alerts that you are in VFP 7 - ignore it.

To see it in SP 5 (themed and no full-row-select), change the Library name to COMCTL.TreeCtrl.1, the toolbar library to COMCTL.Toolbar.1 and the image list library to COMCTL.ImageListCtrl.1.

You might need to comment out the full row select and you will loose the button menu on the tool bar - but the treeview will be themed - and it looks good.

With SP 6 we got fore/back colors for the node text. Thats not available with 5. And - after a while SP 6 don't look to bad.
