>worked 'on' a car wash? you and terry are cracking me up with this language discussion...

When my daughter comes from school, and start telling (in Serbian) what happened "on the bus"... I first ask "did everyone climb down safely?"

Ok, I don't use such words, because "climb down" would sound even sillier than riding ON the buss. Word "climb" (penjati se) means getting up on something, and there's its counter-pair (silaziti) which means the opposite - pretty much like the inhale/exhale or mount/dismount pair.

So... "working on a car wash" does sound a bit awkward even to me, but cracking... nah. You ain't seen nothing yet.
