What I meant was: You say "fill the blank rows", well with blanks (i.e. spaces) or what? (and you've just said "*"). My thinking was that if there are no data to print, then the remaining lines, to the footer, will be blank anyway.

Whatever, I wrote my reply and Deepak had already replied. :-)
