Bonnie,
I am glad someone else thinks it is weird (and not saying duhh ofcourse you can't do that <s>)
The problem is that we have Visual Source Safe (VSS) here and I was hoping that he could just link my controls into his PPC project without any modification. The option that you describe (correct me if I am wrong) is to copy my classes (with a resx file) into a different folder and make modifications to the resx file so it can be used in a PPC project. When I make a change to my class I have to also make a change to the PPC class.

Have you ever created a PPC app? Could you try?

I hope someone else reads this and can tell me what is wrong. I don't want to officially learn too much about PPC because then I will get PPC projects also <s>

Thanks,
Einar

>That's weird, Einar. One would think that they'd be compatible. Anyway, the .resx is just an .XML file, so he could look at the .resx files that the Compact Framework generates and tweak the one you gave him. It might work.

If I give him the cs file and the related resx file and he tries to add it to his project it is complaining that the header of the resx file is not valid. I guess this would be a great time to say that I develop regular windows apps and he is developing apps for PPC.
