Also, I guess you missed the news article in the last 2 weeks that said that the percentage of females (women, ladies...I hope I got every possibility covered) leaving IT is dramatically increasing.
The thought is that it is easier for a man to say that he has to work late on a project, but that women can't keep forgetting their household responsibilities so that the update can stay on the agressive schedule.
