It's likely that FastFind is the culprit; you might try removing it if it's present on your system. In addition, don't use the Iomega drivers for the Jaz drive if at all possible, instead, treat it as a standard removable drive without the Iomega additions in place. You give up no useful functionality, at least from my POV, using a well-supported HA like the BusLogic 93x/95x and Adaptec 294x/39xx families at least.
