But seriously I don't understand why some get so passionate about a development tool. I still use VFP because it's still the best tool for what I have to do. That's it.

But I'm not dumb. I see there's a lot of pressure from MS and others to push us toward .Net.

If MS would'nt have released VFP9 it would've put more pressure. But because VFP9 is there to me it means that MS still thinks that VFP is still viable for a while. I can't wait to see the june newsletter by Ken Levy. Who knows what will transpire out of it.

So I know that I use the RIGHT TOOL for MY NEEDS. I don't care what others say. They're not the ones building what I build. They don't know a thing about my business. So until the tool that I use is doing the job it has to do I'll continue to use it.
