We recently adjusted permissions on two application folders located on the server in an effort to keep users from moving or deleting files from them. The folders, one of which contains program files and the other of which holds data and index files, were changed from allowing full access for everyone to allowing only administrators full control and allowing users to read, write and modify files. We started having problems with certain functions in the application, especially the PACK command, so we reset the permissions back to allowing everyone full access. We're still getting reports of failures when the application tries to PACK or DELETE a file, even though we've rebooted the server and some workstations, and given some users admin rights. Some parts of the application are still using FoxPro 2.6, and I've also experienced this behavior in the development environment of VFP 6.0. Have we missed some permission setting, or is there a problem with FoxPro, or what?
