Yup. take a look at that 2nd definition. Generous, Magnanimous etc. Seems to me a much more likely mixup for someone who might have thought you used the wrong word (which you didn't). And look at how similar the two words are. It makes it very easy to believe that someone might pick the wrong one.
Of course, I could be wrong. Sergey is, of course, both anyway.
