There you go again, go-to guy,

I have to investigate whether the items cited were indeed me telling people what they can or cannot say.

So far I've looked at the Jim Duffy allegation, and I cannot see where I told him at any time what he could or could not say.
I did start the thread, showing that in a seminar, at least as documented in conference notes here on UT, Jim Duffy erroneously maligned VFP as a database in order to sell SQL Server.

I saw some 250+ messages in the thread in question and 3 responses by me besides the original. I simply didn't find any evidence that I told Mr. Duffy what he could or could not say.

By the way... that YOU find DICE.COM and other lacking in VFP work and so a good sign that people ought to move to .NET is good to know, qwhen it is said once or twice. But when it is the stock answer to everything where people push their .NET views on others and you jump in with the same old same old, it gets boring.

Jim

>What the heck do you have to investigate??????????????????????

>Do you deny the basis of his contention that you slam any post made on the UT that even hints at using another technology besides VFP? It is very possible for some to hide inside their shell and do nothing but VFP work. As it is possible to exist on any technology.
>
>However, if you check DICE or Monster and review the few VFP postings that still exist, in at least 50% of the cases VFP is only one of the required abilities to get your foot in the door.
>
>As Dmitry has said, any discussion of technology here can only help to make us better, more qualified developers. Your are obviously unwilling to accept that. No problem. But don't try to force your believes on the rest of us.
>
>Some of the discussions of various technologies are the best discussions the UT has to offer. But typically they degrade into personal attacks thanks to folks like you.

>>Laugh your a$$ off all you want. Do they give a MVP award for that?
>>Dmitry's issue was that I tell people what they can or cannot say.
>>
>>I personally don't care if you or he say I "attack" someone because that's a subjective thing. But stating that I tell people what they can or cannot say is clear and direct and hardly subjective.

>>I'll answer Dmitry when I have investigated his citations and formulated a conclusion based on them.

You attacked one guy because he was promoting use of SQL Server, you attack others for promoting .NET, you attack another for making too detailed input in a VFP discussion, you even attack Sergey (Mr. VFP himself <g>) for making constructive suggestion to another member. Do you see a pattern here?

They were yelled at, criticized, were told to take their VFP and shove it. Now, all those who stayed in Clipper forum are selling insurance and driving cabs.

>>>>>>>Give credit to the intelligence of people in this community to analyze, study and to decide whether .NET, SQL Server, or VFP (or maybe all of the above) is good for them, their carrier, and their business.
