I don't believe that is what is happening. We would welcome any information regarding extending VFP (my dash board indicates this is the VFP forum) with other tools. But that is not what has been happening. What seems to be happening is that most of the VFP development community has surpassed the abilities of the tier and information industry vendors that have been circling their wagon around our camp for a while.

Those vendors have simply feel behind. Their best days ended about the time VFP 6 came to market. Now, in an effort to improve their income string - they come to a VFP forum and sing the old VFP is dead song. Remember Ellen's "Convert your VFP apps to .NOT" thread. Followed Quades testimonials that they did not have the depth of skills to convert a legacy VFP app to NOT, and had to hire the NOT information expansion vendors to do it for them. This all happened about the time VFP 9 went to market.

The threads were savage - several long time subscribers lost their access - these guys were selling the VFP inferiority card from inside the community. I note today that one poster said VFP 9 sales were up.

Now your VFP projects may be flat - but many of us are engaged in satisfying projects and use a lot of VFP.
The guys selling the VFP Inferiority had there best days during the FPW browse window heyday and really do not have the credentials to tell us how to make a living - but they try anyway.

There is a NOT forum on the UT and other boards. I challenge the FPW used to be's and the VFP never weres that are converting (well hiring someone to convert for them) to NOT to go to foxcite (an similar sites) and make those claims and call those names.

This is a VFP forum - EPS has a board and UT has a NOT forum and there are plenty of experts outside those options - problem - the real NOT experts - not the pretenders that dose threads here, would chew them a new sock puppet.

Me - I am just riding my subscription out - the information expansion vendors are a pretty ignorant crowd judging by their tactics on the UT. You can follow them - pray to them - eat shrimp at DevCon with them - but their expertise is not very deep and shifts withs the edicts of them that buy the shrimp for the buffet table - but you should suggest they do it on the NOT forum - nobody likes to hear an implication - no matter how well worded - that they are stupid or inferior just because they don't buy what the has-beens are selling - Okay!
