Hi Ken,

>>I got mine on a Universal Subscription. Am I part of the less than half that upgraded, or the over half that didn't?

>Yes, you are. We know what percentage of VFP developers obtain VFP 9.0 from MSDN subscriptions based on the survey results. Well more than half of VFP developers surveyed are not using VFP 9.0 yet.

Since we are a MS partner (or what ever it is called), we have a MSDN Universal subscription for 5 developers, and have purchased VFP9 this way. We have tried to use VFP9, but appearantly there are some nasty bugs in there.

1. Our leadtools main raster image control (You can download an evalutation version from www.leadtools.com) causes two blank lines to appear in the Windows menu. There is absolutely no way to workarround that issue AFAIK and is a real showstopper to us.

2. Second is the 2065 error that frequently shows up in transactions, even on remote - views. This has been confirmed and that a workarround using sys(1104) might be a workarround.

3. There is some incompatibility with the SQL - SELECT command in regards to using EXIST clauses combined with OR while AND does not give an error (I think I have reported this to MS, but at least here on the forum). This problem has nothing to do with a SET ENGINEBEHAVIOUR, but is clearly a problem that arose in the enhancements of the SQL-SELECT statement.

#1 is critical to us and we cannot upgrade to VFP9 without that beeing fixed. #2. This problem seems to exist in VFP8SP1 also (despite what aleksey has told us), but is less frequent in VFP8SP1. #3 is critical to us as well, as we have a query engine heavily relying on EXIST clauses.

So, I'm really waiting for a SP1 to fix this problem before I can even think of upgrading.

Thanks,

Walter,
