This message has been marked as the solution to the initial question of the thread.
>I have forms where the size is smaller than the 1024x768 screen resolution.
>I've set the form property windows state to normal. during run time, whenever a user first minimize and subsequantly maximize the form, the form then occupies the whole 1024x768 area with significant portions of the form showing blanks as the fields and grids do not occupy this space. Is there a way to control the form to revert to the normal size and not the maximized size when a form is maximized?
>Thanks in advance.

You can use the form.MaxHeight / MaxWidth properties.
