Thats the purpose of his vageries. He has stock options or a 401 that ain't what it used to be and has to follow the party line with the hope that the xBase community will react and convert. It aint gonna happen - we can get xBase someplace else - even get access to the non-window users that are growing by the day.

When Balmer shilled "... using Linux is un-American", I kind of figured things were getting a bit wacky (or a propylene factory opened up-wind of Redmond:-). They're shooting there own foot - and nothing we can do (or care to do) will stop them - so - like I said - just relegate them as a point in history and look beyond it.
