A total different approach that could work for you could be to get an actual blueprint or sketch of the Theatre layout and use is as an image, filling it out with a huge image map in HTML. Then the only thing you need is to put the IE control on a form and listen to the navigate events to trap the clicks. The only thing I find difficult to handle on this scenario is changing visual indication for the different seat status.

If you stick to VFP controls, I'd use checkboxes to represent the seats. You can use graphical checkboxes, and put them using sin/cos to place them in arcs, maybe, but disregarding the real angle and things like that.

Buona fortuna!
