I need to develop program for a client which has fox database on one side and couple stores which access that database through ADSL internet via VPN connection. I know that is not clevel, but client does not want to pay some SQL server and I dont want to lose money.

So, program is working fine even without client/server programming and without ADSL (just dial-up connection)?!? I have only (:-))) one big problem. Client wants to browse database (30000 records) with some (not one) criteria which is established at run-time. I tried couple ways (set filter, select ..., local views etc) but results are bad. It is working, but slow. In some cases, when criteria is complex, fox does not respond (message appears) and after some time, records appears and message disappears.

Dont tell me that I am crazy to code program like that, I know it's not school programming. Is it any possible solution for my problem?
