Emergency medical care is available to everyone. Hospitals must treat you even if you do not have health insurance if it is a medical emergency. I have not experienced any refusal of care in my lifetime. I have gone from no income to a good income over my lifetime so far. I have been without health insurance and have had excellent health insurance. Hospitals still provide free emergency healthcare and most people don't know this, but as long as you pay a modest amount each month (like 10.00-20.00 dollars) no one will call you looking for your money to pay your medical bills. Illegal aliens even receive free healthcare (which bothers me quite a bit).

This is not a very well thought out response to my statement. How do you know who I voted for? Did everyone that voted for George Bush also vote for the $ congress spends? I don't think so. Apples and oranges...

I am not responsible for the other countries of the world and nor is my country. Change things from within in your own country. There is an unbelievable amount of money spent by our government and only a very small percentage goes for humanitarian aid. I was not referring specifically to humanitarian aid in this post.

I still believe wholeheartedly that the U.S. should not become a welfare state either for its own citizens or the rest of the world.
