This is a cool thread with some links to great screen shots posted. Now, lets fast forward to next year (late 2006) when Longhorn is scheduled to be released along with Avalon technology. Avalon will also be released to be able to run on Windows XP machines (not just Longhorn). Avalon can render UI (with or without data entry) plus multimedia in a whole new way, driven by XAML (an XML file type pronounced zamel).

I would like you and others to take the time to view the recent Avalon demo video posted online at http://channel9.msdn.com/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=62621#62621. Then after you view it, ask yourself if you would like VFP to be able to call and execute Avalon forms, have data be passed to and from Avalon, etc. Avalon is all .NET (managed code) based, so you won't Avalon forms native inside of VFP ever. But what the VFP will be working in is allowing .NET WinForms and Avalon forms to be able to be used with VFP applications, and have tools, utilities, libraries, etc. to make it all easy for a VFP to integrate with as best as possible.

The VFP Roadmap will discuss this at a high level when it is released in June, but I am also working on releasing a new Channel 9 video in mid June of what we will show at DevCon - some very cool VFP 9.0 demos working with other Microsoft products and technologies.
